The jubilee project will present the personality and work of the composer Nikolai Myaskovsky in dialogues - with the era, with fate, with friends - through correspondence.
The presentation of the Myaskovsky Quartet collective will take place at the opening. The name of the composer will be assigned to the String Quartet of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic, for which this historical event is associated with the revival of the performing traditions of the Ural string school. The ensemble will perform the Thirteenth String Quartet, for which Myaskovsky was posthumously awarded the Fifth Stalin Prize.
The Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexander Rudin will present Myaskovsky's Seventeenth Symphony. Together with the Symphony Choir of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic Society, the orchestra will perform one of the previously forbidden works of the author - the Cantatou-nocturne "Kremlin at night".
