On invitation of the 12th Winter International Arts Festival directed by Yuri Bashmet, the General Manager of Sverdlovsk Philharmonic Alexander Kolotursky and Vice GM, Rustem Khasanov visited Sochi. February 15 through 17, they took part in the international conference and an exhibition devoted to the issues of cooperation and shaping a unified cultural space. The series of events was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the European Association of Festivals, in partnership with the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.
Mr. Kolotursky spoke to the international audience of the Winter Festival including musical industry professionals from Italy, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Ireland, Finland, China, Korea, Singapore, Norway, Switzerland, Japan and other countries, about the ongoing collaboration between Russian and foreign cultural institutions, best practices of Sverdlovsk Philharmonic and new opportunities and perspectives for development of such connections and long-term relations. Rustem Khasanov shared the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic’s experience in hosting international festivals and announced the concert program of the 5th Eurasia International Music Festival, to take place in Yekaterinburg in November-December 2019.
